Skrib: Elevating Product UX Through Motion
The Project & Company Background
Skrib is an innovative productivity software startup and AI-powered writing studio designed specifically for screenwriters and long-form authors. The platform unifies the chaotic process of creation into a seamless digital workspace, replacing scattered notebooks and traditional cloud docs with structured, distraction-free tools like "The Board" and "The Draft."
Team Collaboration & Remote Workflow
Working as a remote Motion Designer within Skrib's core product team, my role centers on transforming static interface designs into fluid, high-fidelity user experiences. This requires strict cross-functional alignment, collaborating daily with the Art Direction, Lead Product Designer, and UX/UI design teams to ensure that every transition feels premium and mathematically precise.
Interface Fidelity: Tracing and managing complex product assets across Figma layouts and translating them into dynamic animation structures.
UX Motion Design: Utilizing Adobe After Effects to orchestrate micro-interactions, context-aware AI assistant reveal states, and fluid interface transitions. Every ease curve and keyframe is engineered to feel intuitive, enhancing the interactive layer of the software without distracting the user.
The Architecture of Creation Following Skrib’s core philosophy—Research, Plan, Draft, Build—the motion system reflects a systematic evolution of thought and structure. The result is a unified visual language that proves how motion design acts as a functional bridge between raw code, complex AI engines, and user-centric digital tools.
